All youth are invited to join the Elkhorn Springs Battalion for Trek 2025! (This includes the youth who will turn 12 years of age in 2025).
Youth and leaders will reenact some of the faith-building experiences of the pioneers who journeyed to the Salt Lake Valley in the mid-1800s. Youth will be organized into groups called “families,” wear pioneer-era clothing, pull handcarts, and participate in pioneer activities (games, skills, muskets, archery, log splitting, dancing..), and devotionals! Total TREK walking distance is 10+ miles.

The most recent forecast shows highs of 80/85° and lows of 53° while we are on Trek. Please remember to bring a jacket for the cool part of the day!
Dehydration and heat-related illnesses are our biggest concerns. Please remind your youth to drink plenty of water!! Sometimes, youth don’t want to drink because they don’t want to use the porta-potty. We need to remind them that the alternative to drinking plenty of water and using the porta-potty is an IV needle for rehydration!
